FAQ

01. WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?

I would describe my photography style as beautifully blending prompted poses while also emphasizing authentic connection. I use a warm, natural, and storytelling approach that uses soft, golden tones and natural light to create a timeless and romantic feel. There is nothing I love more than capturing the beautiful and natural chemistry of couples and families. I believe that the most beautiful smiles come from genuine laughter, which is why I try to keep your session light hearted and keep you laughing! Whether I'm capturing a simple session or a wedding, my goal is to bring a warm, organic, and storytelling approach that results in photos that feel heartfelt and personal.

02. WHAT DOES THE TURNAROUND TIME LOOK LIKE FOR A SIMPLE SESSION? WEDDING PACKAGE?

For a 30 minute or 60 minute session, the turnaround time is usually up to 4 weeks. It often times is much quicker than 4 weeks, it just depends on the work load at the time. For a wedding package, the turnaround time is usually about 8-12 weeks. Again, often times it is much quicker and depends on the work load at the time. I will send you a sneak peak gallery within 72 hours after your wedding date and the remainder of the photos will be provided within 8-12 weeks.

03. HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS ARE INCLUDED IN WEDDING PACKAGES?

All wedding bookings include only 1 photographer -me, your aerospace engineer and photographer bestie! I have the experience, skill, and organization to successfully document a wedding as a solo photographer. For larger weddings, higher guest counts, or more complex timelines, please inquire today to see if a second shooter might be right for you.

04. do you have a photography studio to do formal portraits or studio style sessions?

While I do not own a private studio to shoot in, I am always open and willing to shoot at local rental studios in the area! The majority of sessions are done at public locations (i.e. the beach, parks, etc.), wedding venues, or personal property of the client. I am willing to shoot at any location the client wishes (travel fees may apply as necessary). Contact me to discuss your options for types of sessions.

05. Do you photoshop or remove imperfections?

During the editing process, I do take the liberty to remove small imperfections in the photos such as undesired objects in the background, flyaway hairs, clothing stains, etc. When I do take this liberty, I do my best to remove the imperfections such that the photo still looks just as natural as possible. There is no guarantee that all imperfections will be removed and I do not do any photoshopping to the photos outside of very minimal removal of small imperfections.

06. what is your Backup plan for faulty equipmeNt? and safeguarding my photos so they are not lost due to sd card corruption?

First and foremost, equipment failure and SD card corruption are very rare occurrences. However, it does happen and that is why I plan ahead to prevent loss. I always come prepared on wedding days with backup gear to my backup gear (additional camera bodies, lenses, batteries, flashes, SD cards, etc). Any piece of gear I bring with me, I also bring at least 1-2 backup pieces. I also use Sony mirrorless camera bodies that feature two SD card slots which store captured photos on both SD cards at the same time. This method of storing images is a great way of instantly backing up your photos. As soon as I get home from wedding day, I instantly copy all images onto two external hard drives where they will remain stored (in addition to both SD cards) during the entire editing process. I promise that your wedding photos will be treated as if they are my own and they are as safe as possible with me.

07. do you provide raw photos from sessions or weddings?

No, I do not provide any raw photos from any session or wedding package. The photos that are edited and provided from sessions and weddings are what I as the photographer deem to be the best of the best of what was captured. I reserve the right to make creative decisions on all photos that are edited and provided in the final selections.

08. I'm nervous to get my photos taken. what can i do to feel more comfortable in front of the camera?

It's normal to feel nervous and uncomfortable in front of the camera! Don't worry about not knowing what to do, I will provide posing and prompts the entire time so that you look and feel your best. I recommend wearing something that is comfortable and that you feel your best in. If you have any special requests before or during your session, just let me know and I will try my best to make it happen!
